Porsche four-cylinder engine comes into focus

According to Autoweek, the new boxer engine will be based on the company's six-cylinder engine and feature a light-pressure turbocharger as well as direct injection. Two versions are reportedly being created with displacements of 2.0- and 2.5-liters. The latter variant is expected to have a maximum output of 380 hp (283 kW / 385 PS).

worldcarfans.com/Autoweekによると現在開発している4気筒エンジンは水平対向6気筒をベースにライトプレッシャーターボと直噴を装備。排気量は2.0と2.5リッターの２つあり、2.5リッター版は385psに達するとのこと。

このエンジンはエントリーモデルの新ロードスターと、次世代ボクスター、ケイマンに採用される見込み。
